again, feeling like I already replied to these, just doing some upkeep 'round the blog. the brickyard here was operational from the 1876 to some point in the 1940's, according to local historical knowledge, and from research I've done. There are UNFORTUNATELY plans to tear down the beautiful remnants of this place to make place for mass produced town houses, last I heard. That always seems to be how it goes, sadly.
I traipse about photographing abandoned buildings and the like. See first post for more details. There's something fulfilling in emptiness, wouldn't you agree?
